What’s Baking Roundup.

November marked my turn to host What’s Baking.  I chose “Savory Treats” as our theme, encouraging everyone to think outside of the usual sweet things that come to mind when baking.  All kinds of treats can be made savory:  bread, crackers, cookies and even cakes!  Check out the roundup of what everyone brought to the (virtual) table!

Jaida of Sweet Beginnings used locally made chorizo for her Savory Sausage and Cheese Scones.

Heather of Hezzi D’s Books and Cooks knocked an item off her 31 by 31 list with this Rosemary Focaccia

Lindsey of Our Share of the Harvest took the opportunity to make Parker House Rolls for her Friendsgiving dinner.

Ammie of Adventures In My Kitchen expanded her list of holiday appetizers with her Savory Cheesecake.

Carrie of The Boys Made Me Do It was elated to make Garlic Parmesan Skillet Bread

Lindsay of Peace, Love and French Fries killed two birds with one stone with her Soft Dinner Rolls with Rosemary and Parmesan.

Jillian of JBean Cuisine’s Aged Cheddar Scones reminded her of coffee dates with her dad.

Ange of The Tiny Tyrant’s Kitchen tackled an item on her to-do list by making Soft Pretzels

Amanda of Our Italian Kitchen loves all things sweet but was up for the challenge and made Yeast Dinner Rolls.

Yudith of Blissfully Delicious took her quiches to the next level with her Cheddar Pie Crust.

Melissa of I Was Born to Cook brought Buttermilk-Thyme Drop Biscuits to her annual Leftovers Party.

Nicole of Seven Ate Nine indulged in the salty/sweet combination of her Cranberry Orange Cheddar Cookies

Carrie of Carrie’s Sweet Life was stumped by savory baking at first but finally decided on this Garlic Herb Braid.

Catherine of Pursuing Domestic Goddess-ness made a version of her uncle’s Chicken Biscuit Pie.

Sandra of She Cooks and Bakes had some difficulties with the results of her savory baking so she tossed a sweet treat into the mix with Skinny Mini Oreo Cheesecakes.

I got stuck bringing the rolls to Thanksgiving dinner so I decided to make them fabulous – Spiral Dinner Rolls
